بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- Saheeh InternationalBy those [angels] lined up in rows
- Saheeh InternationalAnd those who drive [the clouds]
- Saheeh InternationalAnd those who recite the message,
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, your God is One,
- Saheeh InternationalLord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
- Saheeh InternationalAnd as protection against every rebellious devil
- Saheeh International[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
- Saheeh InternationalRepelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
- Saheeh InternationalExcept one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
- Saheeh InternationalThen inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
- Saheeh InternationalBut you wonder, while they mock,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd when they are reminded, they remember not.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd when they see a sign, they ridicule
- Saheeh InternationalAnd say, "This is not but obvious magic.
- Saheeh InternationalWhen we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
- Saheeh InternationalAnd our forefathers [as well]?"
- Saheeh InternationalSay, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
- Saheeh InternationalIt will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
- Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
- Saheeh International[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
- Saheeh International[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
- Saheeh InternationalOther than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
- Saheeh InternationalAnd stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
- Saheeh International[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"
- Saheeh InternationalBut they, that Day, are in surrender.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another blaming each other.
- Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
- Saheeh InternationalThe oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.
- Saheeh InternationalSo the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].
- Saheeh InternationalAnd we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
- Saheeh InternationalSo indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant
- Saheeh InternationalAnd were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
- Saheeh InternationalRather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -
- Saheeh InternationalBut not the chosen servants of Allah.
- Saheeh InternationalThose will have a provision determined -
- Saheeh InternationalFruits; and they will be honored
- Saheeh InternationalIn gardens of pleasure
- Saheeh InternationalOn thrones facing one another.
- Saheeh InternationalThere will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,
- Saheeh InternationalWhite and delicious to the drinkers;
- Saheeh InternationalNo bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,
- Saheeh InternationalAs if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
- Saheeh InternationalA speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]
- Saheeh InternationalWho would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe
- Saheeh InternationalThat when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
- Saheeh InternationalHe will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
- Saheeh InternationalAnd he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
- Saheeh InternationalHe will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
- Saheeh InternationalIf not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
- Saheeh InternationalThen, are we not to die
- Saheeh InternationalExcept for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, this is the great attainment.
- Saheeh InternationalFor the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
- Saheeh InternationalIs Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
- Saheeh InternationalIts emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
- Saheeh InternationalThen indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
- Saheeh InternationalThen indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed they found their fathers astray.
- Saheeh InternationalSo they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We had already sent among them warners.
- Saheeh InternationalThen look how was the end of those who were warned -
- Saheeh InternationalBut not the chosen servants of Allah.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
- Saheeh InternationalAnd left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
- Saheeh International"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, he was of Our believing servants.
- Saheeh InternationalThen We drowned the disbelievers.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
- Saheeh InternationalWhen he came to his Lord with a sound heart
- Saheeh International[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
- Saheeh InternationalIs it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
- Saheeh InternationalThen what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
- Saheeh InternationalAnd he cast a look at the stars
- Saheeh InternationalAnd said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
- Saheeh InternationalSo they turned away from him, departing.
- Saheeh InternationalThen he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
- Saheeh InternationalWhat is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
- Saheeh InternationalAnd he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
- Saheeh InternationalThen the people came toward him, hastening.
- Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
- Saheeh InternationalWhile Allah created you and that which you do?"
- Saheeh InternationalThey said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
- Saheeh InternationalMy Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
- Saheeh InternationalSo We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
- Saheeh InternationalAnd when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
- Saheeh InternationalWe called to him, "O Abraham,
- Saheeh InternationalYou have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, this was the clear trial.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
- Saheeh International"Peace upon Abraham."
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, he was of Our believing servants.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We saved them and their people from the great affliction,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We supported them so it was they who overcame.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We gave them the explicit Scripture,
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We guided them on the straight path.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations:
- Saheeh International"Peace upon Moses and Aaron."
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, they were of Our believing servants.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
- Saheeh InternationalWhen he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
- Saheeh InternationalDo you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators -
- Saheeh InternationalAllah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
- Saheeh InternationalExcept the chosen servants of Allah.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
- Saheeh International"Peace upon Elias."
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
- Saheeh InternationalIndeed, he was of Our believing servants.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, Lot was among the messengers.
- Saheeh International[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all,
- Saheeh InternationalExcept his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers].
- Saheeh InternationalThen We destroyed the others.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, you pass by them in the morning
- Saheeh InternationalAnd at night. Then will you not use reason?
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.
- Saheeh International[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd he drew lots and was among the losers.
- Saheeh InternationalThen the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd had he not been of those who exalt Allah,
- Saheeh InternationalHe would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
- Saheeh InternationalBut We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.
- Saheeh InternationalSo inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
- Saheeh InternationalOr did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
- Saheeh InternationalUnquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
- Saheeh International" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
- Saheeh InternationalHas He chosen daughters over sons?
- Saheeh InternationalWhat is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
- Saheeh InternationalThen will you not be reminded?
- Saheeh InternationalOr do you have a clear authority?
- Saheeh InternationalThen produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].
- Saheeh InternationalExalted is Allah above what they describe,
- Saheeh InternationalExcept the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
- Saheeh InternationalSo indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
- Saheeh InternationalYou cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
- Saheeh InternationalExcept he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
- Saheeh International[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."
- Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, the disbelievers used to say,
- Saheeh International"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
- Saheeh InternationalWe would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
- Saheeh InternationalBut they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
- Saheeh International[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
- Saheeh InternationalAnd [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
- Saheeh InternationalSo, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
- Saheeh InternationalThen for Our punishment are they impatient?
- Saheeh InternationalBut when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd leave them for a time.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd see, for they are going to see.
- Saheeh InternationalExalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd peace upon the messengers.
- Saheeh InternationalAnd praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
